The photo and video sharing app Snapchat will improve its messaging service. Soon you’ll be able to edit messages sent too fast!
If you had to pick an app among the younger generation’s favorites, it’s almost certain that Snapchat would be mentioned about as much as a TikTok. And to maintain its status, the American application is continuously offering new features, the most recent of which was the arrival of the My AI chatbot. An equally appreciable feature will appear soon, with the ability to edit messages.
Five minutes to edit the sent message
Do you sometimes regret a message sent too fast on SnapChat? Is it because of what is said there, or because of spelling mistakes that are too gross? Well, then you’ll enjoy what’s coming soon on the app.
In fact, you will soon be able to edit messages, within five minutes of sending them. It will then be possible to make corrections, or simply change the tone of what has been said. As with other apps that offer this possibility, a small note will be added to let the other person know that the message has been edited.
Available for the first time on Snapchat+
A small downside if you are looking forward to this feature being initially only available to subscribers of the SnapChat+ service, the paid version of the application.
No communication has been made from the American giant regarding a subsequent rollout to non-paying users. However, since Snapchat is used to offering its new products first to those who pay the monthly subscription fee of €3.99 before offering them to the rest of the public, we can hope that message editing is finally accessible to everyone.
SnapChat has also launched other small innovations, such as the ability to create reminders with My AI or the implementation of a new lens that turns your selfies into a snapshot that would have been taken in the 90s.
